The Rekor 2MP 4-channel IP CCTV kit includes a 4-channel PoE network video recorder with a pre-installed 1TB surveillance hard drive, two 2MP IP bullet cameras with IP66 weatherproof rating, two 18.3m pre-terminated network cables, a 12V system power supply, HDMI lead, and mouse control. The NVR uses H.265 video compression to store approximately 30 days of continuous recording from both cameras before overwriting the oldest footage, depending on scene complexity and motion levels.

Designed for small residential properties, retail units and small offices needing 2-camera coverage, the system connects via Power over Ethernet — each camera receives both power and data through a single network cable run to the NVR, eliminating separate mains power at each camera location. The cameras record at 1920x1080 resolution with infrared night vision to 30m range, and the fixed 3.6mm lens gives approximately 80° horizontal field of view. The NVR supports remote viewing via iOS and Android apps or PC client software, allowing live view and playback from anywhere with an internet connection.

The white bullet cameras suit outdoor installation on white or light-coloured façades where a contrasting black camera would be visually prominent. The IP66 rating protects against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making the cameras suitable for UK weather exposure on wall mounts or soffits. The NVR offers continuous, scheduled or motion-triggered recording modes, and footage can be backed up to USB storage for evidence transfer. The system ships ready to install — cameras connect to the NVR's PoE ports, the NVR connects to a router for remote access, and the HDMI output connects to a monitor for local viewing and menu navigation using the supplied mouse.

How many cameras can the NVR support?

The NVR has four PoE ports, so it supports up to four IP cameras total. This kit ships with two cameras, leaving two ports available for adding additional Rekor 2MP cameras later if coverage needs to expand.

What is the camera night vision range?

Each bullet camera has infrared LEDs providing 30m night vision range in complete darkness. The effectiveness depends on the scene — an open driveway may achieve the full 30m, while dense foliage or obstructions reduce usable range.

Does the system require an internet connection?

No. The cameras record to the NVR's 1TB hard drive without internet. An internet connection is only required for remote viewing via the mobile app or PC client. Local playback is available at any time by connecting a monitor to the NVR's HDMI output.

How is the system installed?

Mount the cameras on external walls or soffits, run the supplied 18.3m network cables to the NVR location indoors, plug each camera cable into a PoE port on the NVR, connect the NVR to your router via network cable, connect a monitor via HDMI, and power on the system. The NVR auto-detects the cameras and begins recording.
