The ESP Rekor 24/7 is a 4-channel IP CCTV kit supplying a pre-installed 1TB network video recorder (NVR) with two 2MP bullet cameras, all cabling, and a system power supply. The NVR connects to the cameras via Power over Ethernet (PoE), meaning a single cable per camera carries both data and power, simplifying installation. Each camera records at 1920 x 1080 resolution (1080p Full HD) and uses a combination of white LED and infrared to maintain colour images in low light and provide monochrome night vision out to 30m range.

Designed for residential, small retail and light commercial installations needing external coverage, the kit provides two of the four available channels ready to use out of the box, with capacity to add two more cameras later. The bullet cameras carry IP67 weatherproofing for outdoor mounting on walls, soffits or eaves. Perimeter intrusion detection and line crossing detection functions alert the system to movement within user-defined zones, reducing the volume of irrelevant motion recordings. The NVR supports continuous, scheduled and motion-triggered recording modes, with footage accessible remotely via Android, iOS or PC apps.

The 1TB surveillance-grade hard drive is pre-installed in the NVR and formatted for immediate use, typically storing 7-14 days of footage depending on motion frequency and recording mode. The NVR includes USB backup for transferring clips to a memory stick as evidence or archive. Each camera uses a 2.8mm fixed lens providing a wide field of view suitable for driveways, front gardens and side passages. Cable runs up to 250m per channel are supported, allowing cameras to be positioned well away from the NVR location if needed. The white camera housings blend with lighter-coloured exterior walls and trim.

Does the kit include all cabling needed for installation?

Yes. The kit includes PoE network cables for both cameras and a system power supply. You will need to provide your own mounting screws if fixing to brick or masonry, as wall plugs and screws are not typically included in CCTV kits.

Can I add more cameras later?

Yes. The 4-channel NVR supports up to four cameras total. Two cameras are included in this kit, leaving two channels available for additional PoE IP cameras. Any additional cameras must be compatible with the NVR's ONVIF protocol.

How long does the 1TB hard drive record for?

Storage duration depends on recording mode and motion frequency. Continuous recording typically provides 7-10 days, while motion-triggered recording can extend this to 14 days or more. The NVR overwrites the oldest footage automatically when the drive is full.

Do the cameras provide colour images at night?

The cameras use white LED and infrared together. In low light, the white LEDs maintain colour images where there is some ambient light. In complete darkness, the system switches to infrared for monochrome night vision out to 30m range.
