Description

The Rekor 24/7 is a 4-channel IP CCTV kit pairing a network video recorder with 1TB storage and two 2MP PoE dome cameras. Each camera records 1920x1080 resolution at 25fps, with 30m infrared night vision and IP67 weatherproofing allowing installation both indoors and outdoors. The cameras connect to the NVR via standard Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cable, with Power over Ethernet (PoE) eliminating the need for separate power supplies at each camera location.

Designed for residential properties, small offices and retail units needing basic perimeter monitoring, the kit covers two positions out of the box with capacity to add two more cameras to the NVR later. The 2.8mm fixed lens on each dome provides approximately 90-100° horizontal field of view, suited to monitoring driveways, front doors, rear gardens and shop entrances. The 1TB hard drive stores approximately 7-14 days of continuous recording from two cameras depending on motion activity and compression settings, with automatic overwrite when the drive fills.

The white dome housings sit flush against wall or soffit surfaces and measure approximately 110mm diameter, making them less visually prominent than larger bullet-style cameras. The IR LEDs around each lens activate automatically at dusk, providing monochrome night recording up to 30m in complete darkness. The NVR connects to a router via Ethernet and supports remote viewing via smartphone app when configured on a network with internet access. The kit includes the NVR, two dome cameras, 12V power supply for the NVR, mounting brackets and screws.

What cable is needed to connect the cameras?

The cameras connect to the NVR using standard Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable. Power over Ethernet (PoE) means a single cable per camera carries both data and power, with no separate mains supply needed at the camera end. Maximum recommended cable run is 100m per camera.

Can the kit be expanded to more cameras?

Yes. The NVR supports up to 4 cameras total. This kit includes 2 dome cameras, leaving 2 spare channels. Additional Rekor-compatible PoE IP cameras can be added later, provided they match the 2MP specification and PoE protocol.

How long does the 1TB drive record for?

Recording duration depends on motion activity, resolution settings and compression. With two cameras recording continuously at 2MP 25fps, expect approximately 7-14 days before the drive overwrites the oldest footage. Motion-only recording extends this significantly.

Are the cameras suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. The IP67 rating means the dome cameras are protected against dust ingress and temporary water immersion, making them suitable for mounting under eaves, soffits or wall positions exposed to rain. The NVR itself is for indoor installation only.
