The ESP Rekor 24/7 is a 4-channel IP CCTV kit built around a PoE NVR with 1TB pre-installed storage, supplied with two grey 2MP IP dome cameras rated IP67 for outdoor installation. Each camera delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution at 25fps and combines white LED illumination with infrared to maintain colour images in low light up to 30m range, switching to monochrome IR beyond that point.

Designed for residential and small commercial properties requiring two-camera coverage with room to expand, the kit provides all necessary components for installation: NVR, cameras, cabling, and a 12V power supply. The PoE (Power over Ethernet) architecture means each camera draws power and data through a single network cable, reducing the number of runs needed per camera position. The NVR supports perimeter intrusion detection and line-crossing detection, allowing zones to be drawn on-screen where movement triggers recording or alerts.

Each dome camera carries a 2.8mm fixed lens giving approximately 90° horizontal field of view, suited to monitoring doorways, driveways, building entrances and garden gates at ranges of 5-15m. The IP67 rating confirms protection against dust ingress and temporary immersion, making the cameras suitable for external mounting under eaves or on walls exposed to rain. The grey finish matches typical render, stone and painted masonry without standing out visually.

The NVR records continuously, on schedule, or on motion detection, and backs up footage to USB for evidence transfer. Remote monitoring works via Android and iOS apps or Windows/Mac desktop software, allowing live view and playback from outside the property. The system supports cable runs up to 250m per channel, giving flexibility in camera placement relative to the NVR location.

What's in the box?

The kit includes one 4-channel PoE NVR with 1TB hard drive pre-installed, two grey 2MP IP dome cameras, network cables for camera connection, a 12V power supply for the NVR, and mounting hardware. You will need to supply your own monitor (HDMI or VGA) for initial setup and local viewing.

Can I add more cameras later?

Yes. The NVR has four PoE channels, so you can add up to two additional IP cameras of the same or compatible specification. The cameras must be PoE-compatible and ideally from the same ESP Rekor range to ensure full feature compatibility.

What's the IR range and does it record in colour at night?

Each camera has a 30m infrared range. The white LED function allows colour recording in low light within approximately 10-15m of the camera, depending on ambient conditions. Beyond that range or in complete darkness, the camera switches to monochrome infrared mode.

Is the system weatherproof?

The cameras carry an IP67 rating, meaning they are protected against dust and can withstand temporary immersion in water. This makes them suitable for external mounting in UK weather conditions. The NVR is designed for indoor installation only and should be placed in a dry location such as a cupboard, loft space, or utility room.
