Description

The Rekor 24/7 is a 4-channel IP CCTV kit built around a Power-over-Ethernet NVR with a pre-installed 1TB surveillance hard drive, paired with two weatherproof 2MP bullet cameras. Each camera records 1920×1080 resolution video via PoE cabling that carries both power and data over a single cable run up to 250m per channel. The cameras incorporate white LED illumination and infrared capability, allowing full-colour recording during the day and monochrome night recording without external lighting.

Designed for small residential properties, workshops, retail units and office perimeters needing two-camera coverage with room to expand to four cameras, the kit includes the NVR, two cameras, PoE cabling, and a 12V power supply for the recorder. The NVR supports perimeter intrusion detection and line-crossing detection, triggering recording when a person or vehicle crosses a user-defined boundary rather than recording continuously. Remote monitoring runs through ESP's mobile app for Android and iOS, or via PC client software, with playback accessible remotely or via USB backup for evidence transfer.

The bullet cameras are IP-rated for outdoor installation and carry 2.8mm lenses giving a wide field of view suitable for driveways, entrances and building perimeters. The grey housing blends against render, stone and weatherboarding. Recording modes include continuous, scheduled (time-based) and motion-triggered, with the 1TB drive storing several weeks of footage depending on the recording mode and resolution selected. The 4-channel NVR supports adding two additional cameras later if coverage needs to expand.

What's the maximum cable length per camera?

Each PoE camera can run up to 250m of cable from the NVR. Beyond that distance, signal degradation and power loss may occur. For installations exceeding 250m, a PoE extender or switch is required.

How long does the 1TB drive store footage?

Storage duration depends on recording mode and resolution. Continuous recording at 2MP with both cameras typically fills 1TB in 2-3 weeks. Motion-triggered recording extends this to several months depending on activity levels.

Can I add more cameras later?

Yes. The NVR has 4 PoE channels, so two additional 2MP IP cameras can be added. Cameras must be compatible with the NVR's IP protocol — contact us for recommended expansion cameras.

Is the system suitable for outdoor use?

The bullet cameras are IP-rated for outdoor installation and weatherproof. The NVR must be installed indoors in a dry location. Cameras should be mounted under eaves or soffits where possible to minimise direct rain exposure on the lens.
