Description

The Ray is a 180mm LED pendant light with an integrated 5W 3000K LED housed inside a clear striped acrylic shade, suspended on a transparent PVC cable from a metallic gold ceiling rose. The acrylic shade is moulded with vertical ribbing that refracts and disperses the light, creating a pattern of alternating bright and soft zones across the shade surface when lit.

Designed for low-ceiling dining areas, breakfast bars, bedside positions and hallways where a compact pendant can deliver focused ambient light without overwhelming the space, the Ray hangs 280mm below the ceiling rose with a 1550mm cable that can be shortened during installation. The 180mm diameter makes it suitable for single-bulb pendants over a console table, in a narrow hallway, or clustered in multiples over a kitchen island where a run of three or five would provide distributed light coverage.

The metallic gold finish on the ceiling rose and cable grip provides a warm accent that pairs with brass hardware, warm timber joinery and interiors using ochre, terracotta or olive tones. The clear striped acrylic shade allows most of the 5W LED output to pass through while the vertical ribbing softens the direct view of the LED source. The integrated LED cannot be replaced, so the fitting should be treated as a complete unit with an expected service life of approximately 30,000 hours at 3000K colour temperature.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?

No. The Ray uses an integrated LED that is built into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The LED is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of use at 3000K, which equates to roughly 10 years at 8 hours per day. When the LED reaches end-of-life, the entire fitting would need replacement.

Is the Ray dimmable?

No. The integrated 5W LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. Connecting the Ray to a dimmer circuit may cause flickering or damage to the driver.

What ceiling height does this pendant suit?

The 280mm drop from ceiling rose to the bottom of the shade makes the Ray suitable for standard 2.4m ceiling heights and above. The 1550mm cable can be shortened during installation if needed for lower ceilings or shorter drop requirements.

Can multiple Ray pendants be installed in a row?

Yes. The compact 180mm diameter allows the Ray to be installed in multiples over kitchen islands, dining tables or commercial counters. Spacing three or five pendants at 600-800mm intervals provides even light distribution without visual crowding.
