Description

The Radiantix is a 60cm outdoor bollard light built from turned aluminium with a powder-coated white finish and an opal plastic diffuser at the head. The bollard takes one E27 bulb (sold separately) behind the diffuser, which spreads light in a 360-degree pattern around the base of the fitting. The IP44 rating protects the internal components from rain splash and windblown dust.

Designed for pathways, driveways, patio edges and garden borders, the 60cm height sits above typical ground planting without dominating sightlines across a terrace or lawn. The bollard is surface-mounted via a circular base plate with pre-drilled fixing holes, allowing installation on paving, decking, gravel or concrete. The white finish reflects ambient daylight during the day and pairs cleanly with white-rendered walls, painted timber and light-coloured stone.

The opal diffuser softens direct bulb glare and casts a diffused pool of light that extends approximately 1.5-2m from the bollard depending on bulb output. Pairing with a warm-white LED E27 bulb between 6-10W gives functional path lighting without creating harsh shadows. The aluminium body resists corrosion in coastal and high-humidity environments, and the powder-coat finish can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

The bollard takes one E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. For outdoor use, a warm-white LED E27 bulb rated between 6-10W and IP44 or higher is recommended. Avoid using traditional incandescent or halogen bulbs outdoors as they generate more heat and are less weather-resistant than LED alternatives.

Is it suitable for coastal locations?

The IP44 rating protects against rain splash and dust, and the powder-coated aluminium body resists corrosion better than untreated steel. However, in direct coastal exposure with salt spray, regular rinsing with fresh water will extend the finish lifespan. The bollard is better suited to sheltered coastal gardens than fully exposed seafront positions.
