Description

The Quasar is a black outdoor wall light built from powder-coated die-cast aluminium with a tapered conical shade and a sandblasted tempered glass lens at the aperture. The fitting takes a single GU10 bulb (sold separately) behind the glass, casting light downward and outward through the sandblasted surface. The IP43 rating protects against solid objects above 1mm and light water spray, making it suitable for sheltered outdoor positions under eaves, canopies or covered porches.

Designed for mounting on exterior walls around doorways, garage entrances, side paths and covered patio areas, the Quasar provides directed accent lighting rather than wide flood coverage. The 115mm width and 95mm projection sit close to the wall, keeping the fitting out of the way on narrow passages or where space is limited. The downward-angled cone focuses light on the ground immediately below the fitting, which works well for illuminating steps, doorways and pathway edges after dark.

The black powder-coat finish over die-cast aluminium resists corrosion in typical UK outdoor conditions and provides a low-sheen surface that minimises glare under daylight. The sandblasted tempered glass diffuses the GU10 beam, softening hot spots and spreading light more evenly than clear glass.
