Description

The QTX 3x4W Mini Par Light houses three 4W RGBW quad-colour LEDs inside a 120mm diameter moulded housing, producing colour-mixed output through a 25° beam angle. The RGBW configuration combines red, green, blue and white LEDs in each of the three units, allowing for saturated colour mixing and variable white tones depending on the programming. The fixture draws 15W total power through a hard-wired UK mains lead.

Designed for mobile DJs, small stages, house parties and event setups where compact fixtures are needed, the par light operates in standalone mode via the supplied IR remote or integrates into DMX512 networks using 8 channels over XLR in/out connections. Standalone operation cycles through preset colour programs and strobing effects without additional control hardware. In DMX mode the fixture responds to external consoles for synchronised colour changes, fades and dimming across multiple units.

The lightweight moulded body weighs 408g and sits on a tilt bracket that locks into position with a knurled thumbscrew visible in the side profile. The bracket accepts either floor placement or suspension from a lighting truss using the integrated yoke mount. Operating temperature range spans -20°C to +40°C, making the unit suitable for both indoor venues and covered outdoor events in temperate climates. The 25° beam produces a defined pool of colour on walls, backdrops or stage floors from typical mounting distances of 2-4m.

Frequently Asked

Can this be used without DMX control?

Yes. The fixture operates in standalone mode using the supplied IR remote control, cycling through preset colour programs, strobing effects and static colours without needing a DMX console. For synchronised control across multiple units, DMX512 provides tighter programming.

What DMX mode does it use?

The par light uses 8-channel DMX512 mode. Channel assignments and functions are detailed in the product manual linked in the Downloads tab. XLR in/out connections allow daisy-chaining multiple fixtures on the same DMX line.

What beam coverage does the 25° angle provide?

At 2m distance the 25° beam produces a colour pool approximately 90cm in diameter. At 4m distance this expands to roughly 1.8m diameter. The narrow beam works well for backdrop washes, uplighting and defined colour spots rather than broad room fill.

Is it suitable for outdoor events?

The fixture carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor use or covered outdoor stages. The operating temperature range of -20°C to +40°C accommodates most UK event conditions, but the unit must be protected from rain, condensation and direct moisture exposure.
