Description

The Polar is a 115mm square recessed ground light built from high-performance resin with a white UV-treated finish, designed to be set flush into driveways, patios, pathways and garden borders. The fitting takes a single GX53 bulb (sold separately) behind a frosted resin diffuser and carries an IP66 rating for full protection from dust ingress and high-pressure water jets.

Designed for permanent outdoor installation in hard landscaping, the Polar mounts into a prepared recess in concrete, tarmac, paving or decking and sits level with the finished surface. The resin body resists corrosion from atmospheric moisture, de-icing salts and garden chemicals, and the white finish is UV-stabilised to prevent yellowing under prolonged sun exposure. The fitting is rated for operation from -60°C to +90°C, so it handles both winter frosts and summer heat without material degradation.

The 115mm square aperture provides a compact footprint that integrates cleanly into most grid-pattern paving layouts without requiring custom-cut stones. The frosted diffuser softens the GX53 bulb output to reduce glare when viewed from ground level, making the fitting suitable for pathway edges and step lighting where people walk close to the light source.
