Description

The Polar is a 115mm square recessed ground light moulded from high-performance resin in a UV-stabilised grey finish, rated IP66 for full protection against dust ingress and high-pressure water jets. The fixture sits flush with the ground surface and takes a single GX53 bulb (sold separately), delivering downward illumination for paths, driveways, patios and borders.

Designed for installation in paving, decking, gravel and concrete, the Polar provides marker or accent lighting along walkways, at steps, around pools, and in garden beds where defined pools of light are needed after dark. The recessed format keeps the fixture out of the path of foot traffic and lawn equipment. The IP66 rating handles rain, hosing, standing water and UK freeze-thaw cycles without degradation.

The resin body resists corrosion from atmospheric moisture, chlorine from pools, and chemical fertilisers used in adjacent planting beds, making it suitable for coastal and agricultural environments. The fixture is rated for continuous operation between -60°C and +90°C, covering the full UK temperature range plus extreme continental climates. The grey finish is UV-treated to prevent fading under direct sunlight.
