Description

The Points is a 43cm linear track light with an integrated 24W LED and DALI CCT control, allowing both dimming and colour temperature adjustment from warm 2700K to cool 6000K. The black aluminium housing mounts onto Maytoni's magnetic Exility track system via a recessed clip mechanism, running on 48V DC supplied through the track itself.

Designed for retail, gallery, office and residential spaces where accent lighting needs to be repositioned or adjusted without rewiring, the Points sits within the track profile to reduce visual bulk and glare. The 36° beam angle focuses light onto specific surfaces or products rather than flooding the room, making it useful for highlighting wall art, shelving displays, worktops or architectural features. DALI protocol allows individual addressability when multiple fittings share the same track circuit, so each can be controlled separately from a DALI controller or building management system.

The adjustable colour temperature range gives flexibility across different times of day or task requirements. Warmer 2700K suits evening residential use or hospitality settings where a relaxed atmosphere is needed, while cooler 5000-6000K provides higher contrast for detailed work or product inspection in retail. The IP20 rating limits the Points to dry interior use only. The aluminium construction provides adequate heat dissipation for the 24W LED without requiring external heatsinks, and the matt black finish reduces reflections under cross-lighting.

Is this compatible with standard track systems?

No. The Points is designed specifically for Maytoni's magnetic Exility track system and will not fit standard three-circuit or single-circuit track rails. The fitting clips into the magnetic track and draws 48V DC power from the track itself.

How is the colour temperature and dimming controlled?

The Points uses DALI protocol for both dimming and colour temperature adjustment. You will need a DALI controller or gateway to send commands to the fitting. Each fitting on the track can be individually addressed if configured correctly in the DALI network.

What beam angle does it provide?

The integrated LED delivers a 36° beam angle, which focuses light onto specific surfaces rather than providing wide ambient wash. This makes it suitable for accent lighting, product displays, and highlighting artwork or architectural details.

Can it be used in bathrooms or outdoor covered areas?

No. The IP20 rating means the Points is suitable only for dry interior environments. It should not be installed in bathrooms, outdoor areas, or any location where it may be exposed to moisture or dust ingress.
