Description

The Phostis is a 60cm semi-flush ceiling light built around a white metal canopy from which approximately 200 transparent chromed glass pearls hang on fine metal wires. An integrated 61W LED behind the canopy casts 3000K warm-white light through the suspended glass elements, creating layered reflections and diffused ambient illumination across the fitting's 60cm diameter.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.7m where a flush mount would sit too close to the ceiling and a full chandelier drop would hang too low, the semi-flush configuration sits approximately 15-20cm below the ceiling rose. The 61W output suits living rooms, dining rooms and entrance halls of 15-25m², providing general ambient light without needing additional ceiling fittings. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer on the mains circuit.

Each chromed glass pearl reflects light from the central LED and from neighbouring pearls, building a shimmer effect across the cluster that changes as you move around the room. The white powder-coated metal frame and canopy keep the visual weight neutral, allowing the glass to carry the decorative presence. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor rooms only — not bathrooms, kitchens near hobs, or outdoor covered areas. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.
