The Phosix is a trimless 5-light LED recessed downlight built from die-cast aluminium with a matt black finish. Five integrated LED modules sit within individual polycarbonate reflectors inside a rectangular housing, casting 4000K neutral white light across a ceiling plane. The trimless design means the housing is set into plasterboard with the ceiling finish applied up to the edge of the aperture, leaving no visible bezel or trim ring once installed.

Designed for residential open-plan living spaces, kitchens and commercial environments where clean ceiling lines are required, the Phosix provides functional ambient light without visible hardware. The rectangular format suits positioning along kitchen islands, hallway runs, or retail display areas where a linear arrangement of downlights is needed. The IP20 rating limits installation to indoor dry locations only.

The five LED modules are factory-fitted and non-replaceable, delivering 12W total power consumption across the fitting. The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm white and daylight, producing neutral light that works across both warm and cool interior palettes. The polycarbonate reflectors diffuse light output without creating harsh shadows or hot spots beneath the fitting. At 141mm length and 71mm projection, the housing requires a minimum ceiling void depth of 80mm for safe installation and adequate air circulation around the LED drivers.

No. The integrated LED driver is not dimmable. The fitting provides a fixed 12W output at 4000K when switched on.

What ceiling void depth is required?

A minimum 80mm ceiling void depth is required for safe installation and adequate air circulation around the LED drivers. Plasterboard ceilings with joists or battens at 80mm depth or greater are suitable.

How is the trimless finish achieved?

The housing is recessed into the ceiling void before plastering. The ceiling finish (plaster or skim coat) is applied up to the edge of the downlight aperture, leaving no visible trim or bezel once the work is complete. This creates a flush, seamless ceiling surface.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits installation to indoor dry locations only. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher around zones 1 and 2.
