Description

The Phosix Slim is a 6-light LED recessed downlight in matt black, housing six individual 10W LED modules in a single linear frame. Each module emits warm 3000K light through a black polycarbonate reflector, giving even illumination across the 122mm length. The die-cast aluminium body sits flush to the ceiling with a 28mm projection below the plaster line once recessed.

Designed for commercial interiors, retail spaces and residential rooms where linear accent lighting is needed without visible track or surface-mount fittings, the Phosix Slim works above kitchen islands, along corridor ceilings, in display zones and above reception desks. The six modules are fixed in position and cannot be individually aimed, so the fitting provides wash light across the length of the unit rather than adjustable spotlighting.

The matt black finish minimises ceiling contrast in dark-painted interiors and provides a defined edge in white ceilings. The aluminium construction dissipates heat from the LED modules without requiring external cooling fins, keeping the visible profile minimal. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations — it cannot be used in bathrooms, outdoor canopies or other moisture-exposed positions.

The integrated LEDs are non-replaceable, rated for approximately 30,000 hours at full brightness. Non-dimmable on standard mains circuits.

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming on standard phase-cut or trailing-edge dimmer circuits. The fitting operates at full brightness when powered.

What ceiling void depth is required?

The 28mm projection requires a minimum ceiling void depth of approximately 40mm to accommodate the driver and allow clearance for heat dissipation. Check the installation manual for exact cut-out dimensions and wiring clearances.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture ingress and must only be installed in dry indoor locations away from direct water exposure.
