Description

The Pembroke is a 400mm diameter semi-flush ceiling light with three E14 bulb fittings housed beneath an alabaster glass bowl, suspended from a hand-forged iron frame finished in matt black. A twisted iron column connects the ceiling rose to the glass shade, with decorative scrollwork visible at both the canopy and the bowl's lower mounting point. The 320mm drop positions the fitting 250-280mm below the ceiling when installed.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.7m where a full pendant would hang too low, the Pembroke provides central ambient lighting in hallways, bedrooms, dining rooms and living rooms without encroaching on headroom. The semi-flush style sits closer to the ceiling than a pendant but projects further than a true flush fitting, creating clearance for the three bulbs inside the glass bowl while keeping the overall profile compact. The fitting suits UK ceiling roses and standard wiring.

The hand-forged iron frame shows the hammer marks and minor irregularities that come from individual forging rather than mass casting, so each Pembroke has slight variations in the twist pattern and scrollwork detail. The matt black powder coat finish absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping visual focus on the alabaster bowl when the fitting is lit. The alabaster glass diffuses light from the three E14 bulbs (sold separately) into a soft wash across the ceiling and down into the room, avoiding the glare of exposed bulbs.
