Description

The Pediment is a 318mm outdoor wall lantern with two E14 bulb fittings behind seeded glass panels, enclosed in a dark aged copper-finished metal frame with decorative rivet detailing. The lantern body is built as a traditional carriage-style box with a stepped pyramidal top and a hinged door on the front panel that allows bulb access without removing the fitting from the wall.

Designed for compact outdoor areas including porches, side entrances, garage doors and courtyard walls where a decorative outdoor light is needed without dominating the wall space. The 155mm projection from the wall and 170mm width suit walls in the 2-3m height range. The IP44 rating provides protection against splashing water and solid objects over 1mm, making the lantern suitable for locations under eaves or porch canopies where direct rain is minimal but humidity and weather exposure are expected.

The dark aged copper finish is a brown-toned oxidised metal treatment that mimics the patina of weathered copper, giving a pre-aged appearance with darker tones in recessed areas and lighter copper highlights on raised edges. The seeded glass behind the metal frame is textured with irregular air bubbles and ridges that scatter light into a diffused glow rather than harsh direct beams, softening the output from exposed filament or flame-effect bulbs. The hinged door panel opens on a side hinge and latches closed with a tab mechanism, allowing bulbs to be changed without accessing the mounting hardware.
