Description

The Ozora is an 82mm recessed tilt downlight in polished chrome, designed to sit 20mm into the ceiling void and accept a single GU10 bulb (sold separately). The inner reflector tilts within the chrome bezel, allowing the light beam to be angled towards a feature wall, artwork, or specific zone rather than pointing straight down.

Designed for kitchens, hallways, bathrooms (non-zoned areas) and living spaces, the Ozora provides directed accent or task lighting from a low-profile ceiling fitting. The tilt mechanism allows the beam to be adjusted after installation without re-cutting the ceiling aperture, which is useful for highlighting objects or directing light away from reflective surfaces. The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light and pairs cleanly with chrome taps, door furniture and appliance finishes in kitchens and bathrooms.

The metal construction dissipates heat from the GU10 bulb through the body and into the ceiling void, extending bulb life compared to enclosed fittings. The 82mm diameter suits standard ceiling cut-outs and the 20mm depth fits most ceiling voids above plasterboard. The IP20 rating permits installation in dry areas but excludes bathroom zones 1 and 2 where higher IP ratings are required.

Frequently Asked

What bulb does it take?

The Ozora accepts a standard GU10 bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a GU10 LED bulb between 4-6W at 2700K-3000K for kitchen and living spaces, or 4000K for task lighting in utility rooms.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the GU10 bulb chosen. The fitting itself is compatible with dimmable bulbs, but the bulb must be specified as dimmable and paired with a compatible dimmer switch. Non-dimmable GU10 bulbs will not dim and may flicker on a dimmer circuit.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating permits installation in bathrooms outside zones 1 and 2, typically meaning positions more than 600mm from a bath or shower enclosure. For positions directly above a bath or shower, an IP44 or IP65-rated fitting is required.

How much tilt does the reflector allow?

The inner reflector tilts approximately 20-30 degrees from vertical within the fixed chrome bezel, allowing the beam to be directed towards a wall or feature rather than pointing straight down. The exact tilt range depends on the installed position and ceiling thickness.
