Description

The Orlix is an articulated desk lamp with a matt black painted metal frame, a hemispherical head with a white interior reflector, and a dual-arm design featuring tightening knobs at each joint. The lamp takes a single E14 bulb (sold separately) and extends up to 510mm from the base when fully articulated, with the arm joints allowing the head to be positioned at multiple angles and heights.

Designed for desks, workbenches, bedside tables and reading corners where directed task light is needed, the Orlix pairs a compact 210mm diameter base with enough arm reach to place the light source over a keyboard, a notebook or the edge of a bed. The tightening knobs at each pivot lock the arm position once adjusted, so the lamp holds its angle without drift. The white interior of the head acts as a secondary reflector, increasing the effective output from the E14 bulb and reducing glare when the lamp is angled downward.

The matt black finish on the metal frame minimises reflections and fingerprints, making the lamp suitable for both home offices and industrial-style interiors. The 1000mm black PVC cable includes an inline rocker switch, so the lamp can be controlled without reaching for a wall socket. At IP20, the Orlix is rated for dry indoor use only—not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor areas or anywhere exposed to moisture.

What bulb does it take?

The Orlix takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W LED bulb in warm white (2700K-3000K) for desk or bedside use. The lamp is not dimmable, so choose a bulb with the brightness you need.

How is the arm adjusted and locked?

Each joint on the articulated arm has a tightening knob. To adjust, loosen the knob, move the arm to the desired position, then tighten the knob to lock it in place. This prevents the arm from drifting once positioned.

Can it be used as a bedside reading lamp?

Yes. The 510mm arm reach allows the lamp to be positioned on a bedside table with the head angled over the edge of the bed. The inline switch on the cable means you can turn it on and off without reaching for a wall socket.

Is it suitable for bathroom or outdoor use?

No. The lamp carries an IP20 rating, which means it is designed for dry indoor use only. It is not protected against moisture and should not be used in bathrooms, kitchens near water sources, or outdoors.
