Description

The Orbis is a 100mm square surface-mount downlight with a turned aluminium body finished in brushed gold and a white diffuser recessed into the base. The fitting takes a single GX53 bulb (sold separately) and is designed as a ceiling-mounted alternative to recessed downlights where ceiling void depth is limited or non-existent.

Designed for hallways, landings, kitchens and low-ceiling spaces where recessed lighting cannot be installed, the Orbis mounts directly onto the ceiling surface with the electrical connection made inside the canopy. The 100mm square footprint is compact enough for closer spacing on a grid or in a line along a corridor, while the gold finish adds warmth to interiors with brass fixtures, warm-toned wood or neutral colour schemes.

The turned aluminium body acts as a heatsink for the GX53 bulb, helping to maintain performance and lamp life over extended use. The brushed gold finish has a directional grain that softens reflections compared to polished finishes. The white diffuser at the base directs light downward while reducing glare when viewed at an angle. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer and GX53 LED bulb.
