Description

The Orbis is a 100mm diameter surface-mounted downlight with a cylindrical aluminium body finished in polished nickel. The fitting takes a single GX53 bulb (sold separately) behind a flush white diffuser that sits recessed within the cylinder aperture, casting downward light with minimal glare. The polished nickel finish presents as a cool silvery metal with a brushed satin sheen rather than a mirror polish.

Designed for ceiling installation where recessed downlights are impractical due to shallow ceiling voids or structural limitations, the Orbis mounts directly to the ceiling surface and projects approximately 35mm below the ceiling plane. The fitting suits hallways, kitchens, bathrooms (IP20 zones only), home offices and commercial interiors where clean geometric forms are preferred. The dimmable GX53 bulb fitting allows brightness control when paired with a compatible dimmer switch.

The turned aluminium construction provides effective heat dissipation for the LED bulb whilst keeping the overall weight below 200g, allowing fitting to standard plasterboard ceilings without additional reinforcement.
