Description

The Orbis is a 100mm diameter surface-mount downlight in brushed gold aluminium, designed around a single GX53 bulb fitting. The cylindrical housing sits flush against the ceiling with minimal projection, making it suitable for low-ceiling installations where recessed downlights cannot be fitted. The turned aluminium body carries a brushed gold finish on both the exterior and the interior rim, giving a warm metallic accent when viewed from below.

Designed for hallways, cloakrooms, wardrobes and low-ceiling rooms where recessed lighting is impractical, the Orbis provides directed downlight without requiring ceiling void depth. The GX53 fitting accepts compact LED bulbs (sold separately) typically in the 7-11W range, providing focused task light or general illumination depending on bulb choice. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible LED bulb and dimmer switch.

The turned aluminium construction acts as a heat sink for the LED bulb, allowing continuous operation without overheating.
