Description

The Okno is a 145mm square recessed LED downlight with an integrated 18W LED and adjustable colour temperature from 3000K warm white through 4000K neutral to 6000K cool white. A switch on the rear of the driver unit lets you select the desired colour temperature before installation, locking the downlight to that output without needing additional controls or smart switches.

Designed for commercial, retail, kitchen, bathroom and office applications, the Okno carries an IP44 rating that allows safe use in zones 2 and 3 of bathrooms and in kitchens where splashing and steam are present. The 100° beam angle provides even coverage without hot spots, making it suitable for general ceiling lighting in rooms of 10-15m² when installed at typical 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights. The aluminium and plastic housing with a white powder-coated finish sits flush with the ceiling once fitted, leaving a 145mm square visible frame.

The wide voltage tolerance of AC 165-265V allows safe operation on UK mains supply with headroom for voltage fluctuation, and the 18W output provides approximately 1,600 lumens depending on the selected colour temperature. The recessed depth of 60mm means the Okno fits standard ceiling voids without needing additional depth clearance, and spring clips secure the fitting into the ceiling cut-out without visible fixings. How do you change the colour temperature?

A small DIP switch on the rear of the LED driver unit allows you to select 3000K, 4000K or 6000K before installation. Once selected and the ceiling closed, the colour temperature remains fixed at that setting. It cannot be changed without removing the downlight from the ceiling.

What ceiling cut-out size is needed?

The Okno requires a 145mm square cut-out in the ceiling. The visible frame after installation is also 145mm square. Ceiling void depth must be at least 60mm to accommodate the LED driver and heat sink.

Is it dimmable?

The product specification does not state dimmer compatibility. Most fixed-output integrated LED downlights of this type are non-dimmable unless explicitly stated. Please contact us to confirm before pairing with a dimmer switch.

Can it be used outdoors?

The IP44 rating protects against splashing water and solid objects above 1mm, which makes it suitable for covered outdoor areas such as soffits, canopies and porches where direct rain does not reach the fitting. It is not rated for fully exposed outdoor use.
