Description

The Nocturne is a 26cm linear LED wall or ceiling light built from extruded aluminium with a white painted finish and an opal polycarbonate diffuser. An integrated 3.5W LED running at 3000K (warm white) sits behind the diffuser, casting an even wash of light along the fitting's 257mm length. The shallow 16.5mm projection from the wall or ceiling makes it suitable for low-clearance installations.

Designed for hallways, landings, cloakrooms, bathroom mirrors (IP20 rated for zones outside splash areas), wardrobes and utility rooms where compact functional lighting is needed without visual bulk. The fitting can be mounted horizontally on a wall as a strip light beside a mirror, or surface-mounted to a ceiling as a semi-flush fitting for a corridor or small entrance hall. The white finish blends into white or light-coloured ceilings and walls, allowing the light output to dominate rather than the fitting itself.

The extruded aluminium body provides rigidity across the 26cm span and dissipates LED heat efficiently, contributing to the rated lifespan of the integrated lamp. The opal polycarbonate diffuser hides the LED strip from direct view and prevents glare, making the Nocturne comfortable for use in circulation spaces where it sits within the field of vision. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer.

Can this be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating limits the Nocturne to bathroom zones outside direct splash areas (typically zone 3 and beyond, at least 60cm from a shower or bath edge). It cannot be used in shower enclosures, directly above baths, or within wet zones.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The fitting carries a 5-year warranty and the LED is rated for a lifespan that typically exceeds 20,000 hours of use.

What dimmer is needed?

The Nocturne requires a trailing-edge (electronic) LED dimmer compatible with low-wattage LED loads. Not all dimmers work reliably with 3.5W LED fittings, so check the dimmer manufacturer's minimum load rating before pairing.

Can it be installed vertically?

Yes. The Nocturne can be mounted horizontally or vertically on a wall, or surface-mounted to a ceiling. The opal diffuser provides even light distribution regardless of orientation.
