Description

The Next is a 2-metre arc floor lamp with an integrated 30W LED housed in an opal silicone diffuser at the end of a curved metal arm. The lamp extends from a weighted circular white metal base, reaching out and over seating areas to provide directed overhead light without requiring a ceiling fixing. A touch-sensitive dimmer built into the stem allows continuous brightness adjustment from a gentle glow to full 30W output.

Designed for reading positions beside sofas and armchairs, the Next positions the light source above and slightly behind where a person sits, directing light downwards onto a book, tablet or work surface. The 2000mm projection from base to lamp head suits typical sofa depths of 800-1000mm, placing the diffuser approximately 300-400mm beyond the front edge of the seating. The arc configuration also works over dining table ends and in bedroom corners where overhead pendant fittings are absent.

The white powder-coated metal construction includes a 400mm-diameter weighted base that stabilises the cantilevered arm on carpet and hard floors. The opal silicone diffuser spreads the 3000K LED output into soft ambient light that minimises glare when positioned above eye level. The integrated driver and 1500mm PVC cable terminate in a standard UK three-pin plug. The IP20 rating limits the lamp to dry indoor locations.
