The concrete diffuser is cast as a hollow square column, 245mm tall, with an open bottom aperture that accepts a single GU10 bulb (sold separately). Light escapes downward through the open base, providing directed task illumination.

Designed for kitchens, dining tables, breakfast bars and work surfaces where focused downward light is needed without spreading ambient fill, the Muse works well as a single fitting over a small table or in clusters of 2-3 units over a longer island or counter. The 1100mm black fabric cable is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to hang 600-900mm below the ceiling depending on room height. The concrete body directs all light downward rather than diffusing it through the material, so pairing with a warm-white GU10 LED at 2700K-3000K gives a softer pool of light than a cool daylight bulb.

The concrete is left in its natural cast finish, showing the texture and minor surface variation typical of poured concrete construction. The grey tone is a mid-range neutral that sits comfortably with both warm timber and cool metal finishes in contemporary and industrial interiors. The compact 70mm square footprint and the absence of decorative detailing mean the fitting reads as a functional object rather than ornamental, which works well in spaces prioritising material honesty over decorative flourish.

What bulb does the Muse take?

The pendant accepts a standard GU10 twist-lock bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a 5-7W GU10 LED in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient task lighting. Higher wattages give brighter pools of light but may create more glare when the pendant hangs low over a work surface.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, the fitting itself is rated as dimmable. However, dimmer compatibility depends on the GU10 bulb you choose — check the bulb packaging to ensure it supports dimming with your specific dimmer model.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The Muse carries an IP20 rating, which means it is not splash-protected and should only be used in dry indoor environments. It is not suitable for bathroom zones where water contact or high humidity is present.
