Description
The Mosaic is a 940mm diameter chandelier with ten E14 candle-style bulb positions arranged across two tiers of curved arms, finished in a distressed gold leaf effect over a metal frame. Strands of hammered gold tiles run from the central bobeche and cascade beneath each arm, creating vertical curtains of reflective metal that move when air currents shift.
Designed for dining rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 3m or above, the chandelier has a 1080mm body height and a minimum installed drop of 1170mm from ceiling to lowest point. The chain extends to 1829mm, allowing drops up to 2999mm for double-height spaces or galleried landings. The ten-light configuration provides distributed candlelight-style illumination across a 3-4m table or equivalent floor area, with bulbs sold separately (max 60W per socket).
The gold finish is applied as a distressed leaf over the metal arms and tile strands, giving tonal variation across different sections of the frame rather than a uniform solid colour. Each tile is individually hand-cut and hammered, so the exact pattern and density of tile placement varies slightly between individual chandeliers. The two-tier arm arrangement places six lights on the lower ring and four on an upper tier, creating depth when viewed from below.
The frame weighs approximately 8kg once fully assembled, requiring a ceiling rose rated for the combined weight of frame, chain and bulbs. Installation involves fixing the ceiling plate, attaching the chain to the desired drop length, and wiring through the hollow chain links to the central connection point inside the canopy.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Mosaic take?
The chandelier uses ten E14 (small Edison screw) candle-style bulbs, sold separately. Maximum 60W per socket. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a traditional candlelit appearance.
What ceiling height is needed?
The minimum installed drop is 1170mm from ceiling to the lowest tile point. For typical dining table positioning (chandelier base 750-850mm above table surface), you need a ceiling height of at least 2.8-3m. The chain adjusts on installation up to a maximum drop of 2999mm for double-height spaces.
Do the tile strands make noise when doors open or windows are open?
The gold tiles are metal and do touch each other when air movement shifts the strands, creating a soft metallic chime. In high-traffic hallways or rooms with frequent door use, this becomes part of the chandelier's character. In still rooms the tiles remain silent.
How is the gold finish maintained?
The distressed gold leaf finish develops a natural patina over time. Dust can be removed with a soft dry brush or microfibre cloth when bulbs are off and cool. Avoid household polishes or chemical cleaners, which may strip the leaf finish.
