Description

The Mon is an 18cm ceiling-mounted LED light with a graphite-finish aluminium housing and a dual-layer diffuser system, built to IP65 rating for outdoor and high-moisture indoor use. The integrated 12W LED outputs 3000K warm white light through a white matte acrylic inner diffuser and transparent plastic outer layer, distributing even illumination across the fitting's footprint.

Designed for outdoor porches, covered patios, garage entrances, and indoor bathrooms or utility rooms where moisture and dust are present, the Mon sits flush to the ceiling with a 122mm projection from the mounting surface. The IP65 enclosure seals against water jets from any direction and prevents dust ingress, making it suitable for exposed UK coastal locations and unheated outbuildings. The 100-240V AC input means it works on standard UK mains without a separate driver box.

The graphite finish on the aluminium housing is a dark charcoal tone that pairs with anthracite window frames, dark grey composite decking, and monochrome rendered exteriors. The compact 18cm diameter keeps the fitting proportionate to narrow porches and small bathrooms without dominating the ceiling plane. Can this be used in an outdoor location fully exposed to rain?

Yes. The IP65 rating protects against water jets from any direction and dust ingress. The fitting can be mounted on an exposed porch ceiling, under an eaves overhang, or in a covered outdoor area. It is not designed for full submersion or installation facing directly upward where water can pool on the diffuser.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use. The entire fitting is replaced at end-of-life rather than replacing the LED module separately.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 122mm projection suits standard 2.4m ceiling heights in porches, bathrooms and utility rooms. In lower-ceiling spaces such as garage entrances or cellar rooms with 2.1-2.3m clearance, the compact diameter and flush-mount design keep the fitting unobtrusive.

How is it cleaned?

Switch off the mains supply before cleaning. Wipe the aluminium housing and plastic diffuser with a damp microfibre cloth. For outdoor installations in coastal areas, rinse occasionally with fresh water to remove salt deposits that can degrade the finish over time.
