Description

The Mixon is a 145mm semi-flush ceiling light with a weathered brass cage surrounding a single E27 bulb fitting. The cage consists of three horizontal bands connected by vertical wires, protecting the bulb while allowing light to cast through the metalwork onto walls and ceilings. The weathered brass finish shows tonal variation across the surface, giving the metal an aged appearance rather than a uniform polished tone.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.2m and 2.6m where a pendant would hang too low, the Mixon projects 271mm from the ceiling when fitted, keeping the head clear of circulation paths in hallways, landings, utility rooms and low-ceilinged bedrooms. The semi-flush mount fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose, with the cage and lampholder assembly sitting on a stemmed drop that brings the light source lower than a flush fitting without requiring suspension cable or chain.

The weathered brass finish pairs with warm-toned interiors, reclaimed wood furniture and industrial-style kitchens or home offices where exposed metalwork is used as a design feature. The cage design references early 20th-century factory and workshop lighting, updated with modern proportions that work in domestic spaces.
