Description

The Mirax is a compact LED reading light with a cylindrical swivel head mounted on a square 8.5cm white metal base. An integrated 3W LED inside the swivel head casts a focused beam of 3000K warm white light that can be angled through approximately 180 degrees of vertical rotation, directing light onto a bedside book, a desk surface, or onto a wall as accent illumination.

Designed for bedside reading, task lighting over bathroom mirrors, and directional accent lighting in hallways or above artwork, the Mirax suits positions where a compact fitting is needed but a ceiling pendant or downlight cannot be installed. The swivel head rotates on a ball joint at the connection to the base plate, holding its position once adjusted without needing a locking screw. The 6.5cm projection from the wall keeps the fitting close to the surface, making it practical in narrow spaces or above furniture where head clearance matters.

The white powder-coated metal finish gives the fitting a neutral, modern appearance that pairs with white walls, light-toned interiors, and minimalist schemes. The 3W LED draws minimal power compared to a halogen equivalent and runs cool enough to be positioned near soft furnishings without concern. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor zones only — it is not suitable for bathroom zones 1 or 2, or for outdoor use.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the Mirax to dry indoor areas only. It is not suitable for bathroom zones 1 or 2 where it could be exposed to direct water spray or high humidity. It can be used in bedroom-style bathrooms beyond the zones, at least 60cm from the bath or shower.

Is the swivel head adjustable once installed?

Yes. The cylindrical head rotates on a ball joint and holds its position through friction once adjusted. You can reposition the light direction at any time without tools or locking screws.

Is the LED replaceable?

The 3W LED is integrated into the swivel head and is not user-replaceable. Maytoni LEDs typically carry a rated life of 20,000-30,000 hours. If the LED fails within the 3-year warranty period, contact us for a replacement unit.
