Description

The Middlefield is a 5 light chandelier built from curved distressed wood staves that form a barrel-shaped cage around a central iron rust steel frame holding five E14 candle bulbs. The wood staves arch from a circular ceiling mount down to a pear-shaped wood finial at the base, creating a 508mm diameter teardrop profile. Each of the five bulb holders sits on a simple scrolled arm within the wood cage.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and covered outdoor spaces such as porches or verandas, the Middlefield suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. The 2540mm chain allows the chandelier to be adjusted on installation from a minimum 873mm drop to a maximum 3413mm drop. Most installations position the chandelier 750-900mm above a dining table surface, requiring a total ceiling-to-table measurement of approximately 1.7-1.8m including the 813mm fitting height.

The distressed wood finish shows deliberately aged grain and colour variation across the six curved staves, giving each piece a different character depending on the batch of wood used. The iron rust finish on the steel frame adds a warm oxidised tone that contrasts with the lighter wood without matching it exactly. The combination of materials gives the chandelier a farmhouse or barn conversion aesthetic that pairs with reclaimed wood furniture, exposed brick and neutral-toned interiors.

The five E14 bulbs are sold separately, allowing you to choose between warm filament-effect LEDs for a traditional look or clear candle bulbs for brighter task light.
