Description

The Maytoni 3 light rectangular ceiling canopy is a 65cm black metal bar designed to mount three pendant lights in a linear arrangement. Three cable outlets spaced along the 65cm length allow pendants to hang at regular intervals above kitchen islands, dining tables or worktops, with all wiring concealed inside the canopy and routed back to a single ceiling rose connection point.

Designed for triple pendant installations where a single ceiling rose position needs to support three separate drop points, the canopy replaces three individual ceiling roses with a unified bar that distributes the electrical supply along its length. The rectangular profile measures 5cm wide and 2.5cm deep, giving enough internal volume to house three sets of cables and connector blocks without visible cable runs between the canopy and the ceiling.

The black powder-coated metal finish pairs with matt black, graphite and industrial-style pendant fittings commonly used in modern kitchen and dining installations. The 65cm length suits island benches between 120-180cm wide, positioning pendants approximately 20-25cm apart when centred. The canopy fixes to a standard UK ceiling rose using two or three screw points along its length, and the flat upper surface sits flush against plasterboard or plaster ceilings.

Frequently Asked

How many pendants can this canopy support?

The canopy has three cable outlet points, designed to support three pendant lights in a linear arrangement. Each outlet can handle a standard pendant drop with up to 60W load per fitting, but check the total circuit capacity before installation.

What spacing does the 65cm length give between pendants?

When the three outlet points are evenly distributed along the 65cm bar and the canopy is centred over a surface, the pendants typically hang approximately 20-25cm apart. The exact spacing depends on how the canopy is positioned relative to the ceiling rose and the surface below.

Does it work with any pendant light?

Yes, provided the pendant has a standard cable and connector. The canopy is a universal mounting solution and does not restrict the pendant style, though it is most commonly paired with modern, industrial or minimalist fittings that complement the black metal finish.

How is it installed?

The canopy mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose position using screw fixings along its length. The pendant cables are fed through the three outlet points and connected to the mains supply inside the canopy using connector blocks, with all wiring concealed once the canopy cover is in place. Electrical installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
