Description

The Mansion is a hand-crafted outdoor wall lantern built from solid brass with an aged brass finish, clear glass panels and a domed pierced top with oval ventilation apertures. The lantern houses a single E27 bulb socket (bulb sold separately) rated for up to 60W, and carries an IP44 rating protecting the internal components against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction.

Designed for external walls flanking front doors, porch entrances, courtyard gates and covered garden pathways, the Mansion provides ambient light filtered through clear glass panels set within a tapered brass frame. The 120mm projection from the wall keeps the lantern body clear of masonry while the 375mm height gives visibility from gate level. The aged brass finish develops a natural patina over time when exposed to weather, deepening the antiqued character of the metalwork.

Each Mansion lantern is hand-crafted from solid brass, not plated steel, so the metal structure will not corrode through surface coating failures. The domed top features a ring of pierced oval apertures that ventilate heat from the bulb while maintaining weatherproofing, and the brass hanging loop at the crown is a functional detail from the original pre-Georgian design language this lantern references.
