Description

The MagPro addressable base sounder is a fire alarm component that combines a detector mounting base with an integrated sounder module, allowing a single ceiling point to provide both smoke/heat detection and audible alarm notification. The base accepts ESP MagPro detector heads (MAGPRO-SD1 smoke detector, MAGPRO-HD1 heat detector, and MAGPRO-HSD1 combined smoke and heat detector) and connects to addressable fire alarm loop wiring via screw terminals on the base.

Designed for commercial fire alarm installations where dedicated sounder points would be impractical or where ceiling space is limited, the addressable base sounder reduces the number of separate devices needed per zone. The sounder element is controlled via the addressable protocol, allowing the fire panel to activate specific bases independently rather than triggering all sounders on a circuit simultaneously. This gives zone-specific or phased evacuation control depending on panel programming.

The white thermoplastic base measures approximately 100mm diameter with heat dissipation fins around the top edge. The green circuit board visible in the base houses the addressable interface and sounder driver. Installation requires standard ceiling back box mounting and loop wiring to the panel, with the detector head twisting onto the base once wiring is complete. The 0.15kg weight is light enough for single-person ceiling installation on most commercial ceiling grids.
