Description

The MagPro is an addressable fire alarm control panel managing up to 96 zones and 250 devices per loop, built around a 320 x 240 pixel colour touchscreen interface housed in a white steel enclosure. The panel stores 10,000 event logs internally and connects to external programming software via a micro USB port, allowing configuration from a PC using the included free software.

Designed for commercial, industrial and multi-occupancy residential buildings requiring EN54-2/4 certified fire detection, the MagPro supports networking up to 32 panels together for large sites needing distributed control. The addressable loop architecture allows each smoke detector, heat detector, call point and sounder to carry a unique address, simplifying fault-finding and reducing cabling runs compared to conventional zone wiring. The touchscreen provides navigation through alarm history, device status, zone maps and system configuration without requiring a separate programmer during commissioning.

The included loop and battery calculator software assists in designing the loop layout and calculating standby battery capacity based on the number of devices, cable run lengths and standby time requirements. The panel meets EN54-2 (control and indicating equipment) and EN54-4 (power supply equipment) certification, making it suitable for installation under UK Building Regulations and Fire Safety Order compliance projects. The 5.5kg steel enclosure houses the control electronics, loop drivers and space for standby batteries rated to maintain the system during mains failure.

Frequently Asked

What's the difference between addressable and conventional fire panels?

Addressable panels assign a unique address to each device on the loop, allowing the control panel to identify exactly which detector has triggered or developed a fault. Conventional panels divide devices into zones, so an alarm shows which zone activated but not which specific device. Addressable systems reduce cabling and simplify maintenance in larger buildings.

How many devices can the MagPro support in total?

The panel manages 96 zones with a maximum of 250 addressable devices per loop. Total device capacity depends on the number of loops configured — refer to the product manual and use the included loop calculator software to plan device distribution across loops.

Can the panel be networked with other MagPro units?

Yes. Up to 32 MagPro panels can be networked together for large sites requiring distributed control across multiple buildings or floors. Networking allows alarm and fault information to be shared between panels.

What certifications does the MagPro carry?

The panel is certified to EN54-2 (control and indicating equipment) and EN54-4 (power supply equipment), meeting the requirements for installation under UK Building Regulations and Fire Safety Order compliance projects.
