Description
The Lystra is a 90cm linear LED wall light with a matt black powder-coated aluminium frame and an integrated 24W 3000K LED behind a frosted glass diffuser. The fitting projects just 40mm from the wall, running parallel to the surface rather than extending outward, making it suitable for hallways, above picture rails, and alongside mirrors where a slim profile is needed.
Designed for indoor use in living rooms, dining rooms, hallways and bedrooms, the Lystra provides indirect ambient light rather than directed task lighting. The frosted glass panel diffuses the 24W LED output into a broad, even wash of warm white light along the length of the fitting. At 90cm the light suits walls between 2.5-4m wide, positioned either horizontally above a sofa or sideboard, or vertically alongside a tall mirror or doorframe.
The matt black finish on the aluminium frame absorbs light rather than reflecting it, keeping visual focus on the illuminated glass panel. The frame weighs approximately 1.2kg and fixes to the wall via two mounting points concealed behind the body. The integrated LED is rated at 3000K warm white, which sits between the yellower tone of traditional incandescent bulbs and the cooler whites used in office lighting.
The IP20 rating limits the Lystra to dry indoor locations only — it is not suitable for bathrooms, shower rooms, or any area where water contact is possible. The LED is non-dimmable and non-replaceable; when the LED reaches end of life the entire fitting is replaced. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty covering manufacturing defects.

Frequently Asked
Is the Lystra dimmable?
No. The integrated 24W LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. Installing the Lystra on a dimmed circuit may cause flickering or damage to the driver.
Can the LED be replaced when it fails?
No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. When the LED reaches end of life, the entire fitting is replaced. Typical LED lifespan is 25,000-30,000 hours, which equates to approximately 10-15 years of domestic use at 5 hours per day.
What size wall does the 90cm length suit?
The 90cm fitting works best on walls between 2.5-4m wide, positioned centrally or above furniture. On narrower walls the fitting may dominate; on very wide walls it may look undersized unless paired with additional fittings or used as accent lighting.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means the Lystra is rated for dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, shower rooms, or any area where it may encounter water splashes or high humidity.
