Description

The Lystra is a 600mm linear LED wall light built around a white powder-coated aluminium frame with a frosted glass diffuser running the full length. An integrated 17W LED inside the housing casts 3000K warm-white light downwards and sideways through the diffuser, providing functional illumination over mirrors, along corridors or above bathroom vanities.

Designed for spaces needing horizontal wall-mounted task or ambient light, the Lystra suits hallways, bathrooms (IP20 rated for zones 3 and outside zones), above kitchen worktops where under-cabinet lighting is not practical, and as over-mirror lighting in bedrooms and bathrooms. The 600mm length covers a typical single or double bathroom basin and the 40mm projection keeps the fitting close to the wall without protruding into the room. The white finish blends into white or light-coloured walls and ceilings, making the light itself more visible than the housing.

The aluminium frame is powder-coated for a smooth, non-reflective finish that resists fingerprints and moisture in bathrooms. The frosted glass diffuser softens the LED output and eliminates visible hotspots along the length of the fitting, giving a continuous band of light rather than individual LED points. The integrated LED is rated at 3000K, which produces a warm white tone closer to halogen than the cooler 4000K+ often used in commercial fittings.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes, with restrictions. The IP20 rating means it can be used in bathroom zone 3 (more than 60cm from the bath or shower) or outside zones entirely. It cannot be installed directly above a bath or inside a shower enclosure.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of use, equivalent to around 15-20 years of typical domestic use at 3-4 hours per day.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimmer switches. Installing this on a dimmed circuit may cause flickering or damage the driver.

What colour is the light output?

The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white light similar to halogen bulbs, warmer than the 4000K neutral white often used in commercial or utility lighting.
