Description

The Lyris Trim is a 3m white LED profile cover manufactured from extruded aluminium with an anodised and powder-coated surface. The 44mm projection creates a recessed channel for LED strip tape, while the white finish allows the profile to blend into ceiling, wall and under-cabinet installations without drawing visual attention to the housing itself.

Designed for LED strip installations in kitchens, living rooms, corridors and commercial interiors, the Lyris Trim houses the strip securely within the profile channel, protecting the LEDs from accidental contact and providing a diffused light output along the full 3m length. The profile can be surface-mounted or recessed into plasterboard, timber or cabinet panels depending on the installation method. The extended 3m length reduces the number of joins needed across longer runs, giving cleaner lines of continuous light.

The aluminium construction acts as a heat sink for the LED strip, helping to dissipate heat across the 3m length and maintain consistent LED performance over time. The white powder-coated finish is applied over an anodised base layer, providing scratch resistance and colour stability under UV exposure. The profile accepts LED strip tape up to the width of the internal channel — check the Specification tab for exact internal dimensions before ordering compatible strip.

Does the profile include the LED strip?

No. The Lyris Trim is the aluminium profile housing only. LED strip tape, driver and any mounting clips or end caps are purchased separately. This allows you to match the LED strip specification to your exact colour temperature, brightness and voltage requirements.

Can the profile be cut to a shorter length?

Yes. Aluminium profile can be cut to length using a hacksaw or mitre saw with a metal-cutting blade. Cutting allows the 3m profile to be tailored to fit exact installation dimensions without wastage.

What width of LED strip does it accept?

The profile accepts LED strip tape that fits within the internal channel width. Most standard 8-12mm LED strip tape will fit comfortably. Measure your chosen LED strip width before ordering to confirm compatibility with the 44mm projection dimension.

Is the profile suitable for outdoor use?

The Lyris Trim is designed for interior installations. If using in bathrooms or other high-moisture areas, pair with an IP-rated LED strip and ensure the profile is mounted in a zone appropriate for the IP rating of the complete assembly.
