Description

The Lyria is a 183mm linear wall and semi-flush ceiling light with two opal acrylic spheres housed in a matt black powder-coated metal frame. Each sphere contains an integrated 3W 3000K LED, giving 6W total output across the fitting. The spheres sit flush against the vertical backplate when mounted on a wall, or project downward when fitted to a ceiling.

Designed for hallways, bedroom walls, bathroom zones (IP20 rated for dry areas only), and low-ceiling spaces where a traditional pendant would hang too low, the Lyria provides ambient wash light rather than task illumination. The 60mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting compact, and the 183mm length suits positioning between doorframes, above bedside tables, or flanking mirrors. When ceiling-mounted, the spheres hang 60mm below the ceiling plane, making this a practical choice for rooms with ceiling heights under 2.4m.

The matt black finish on the metal backplate and sphere housings absorbs reflections and pairs with both monochrome and warm-toned interiors. The opal acrylic diffusers soften the LED point source into an even glow without visible hotspots. The integrated driver is housed within the backplate, so there is no external transformer to conceal. The fitting carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty from Ideal Lux.

The Lyria carries an IP20 rating, which means it is suitable only for dry indoor areas. It cannot be installed in bathroom zones requiring IP44 or higher (zones 1, 2, or 3 around baths and showers). It can be used outside these zones in well-ventilated bathrooms where no direct water contact occurs.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The light operates at full 6W output when switched on.

Can it be mounted horizontally and vertically?

Yes. The backplate can be fixed to a wall in either orientation (spheres side-by-side or stacked vertically) or to a ceiling with the spheres projecting downward. The fixing points on the backplate accommodate both mounting positions.
