Description

The Luxix is a 62cm LED bathroom mirror light with an integrated 11W 3000K LED housed behind a satin acrylic diffuser, mounted on a matt black metal frame. The IP44 rating allows safe installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3 — above basins, alongside mirrors, and in areas away from direct water spray.

Designed to mount horizontally above or beside bathroom mirrors, the 62cm length suits mirror widths between 60-90cm, delivering even illumination across the reflective surface without creating harsh shadows or hotspots. The 40mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting discreet while the diffuser shields the LED strip from direct view. The 3000K colour temperature produces warm white light close to halogen tone, avoiding the clinical coldness of daylight LEDs whilst still providing accurate colour rendering for grooming tasks.

The matt black metal frame is powder-coated for moisture resistance and pairs with contemporary bathroom schemes, particularly where black tapware, towel rails or shower screens establish a coordinated finish palette. The acrylic diffuser is impact-resistant and does not yellow over time as some cheaper plastics do. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation — around 8-10 years of typical domestic use — and draws 11W on 230V mains, equivalent to approximately 80W of traditional halogen output.

Can this be used in a shower room or directly above a bath?

The IP44 rating protects against water splashes but not direct jets or immersion. It is suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 — alongside mirrors, above basins, and general bathroom areas — but not for zone 1 (directly above a bath or inside a shower enclosure) where IP65 or higher is required.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The module is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation, which equates to around 8-10 years of typical domestic use at 3 hours per day.

What size mirror does the 62cm length suit?

The 62cm length works best with mirrors between 60-90cm wide. For mirrors wider than 90cm, consider using two Luxix fittings — one above each side of the mirror — to maintain even light distribution across the full width.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The light operates at fixed 11W output on a standard on/off bathroom light switch.
