Description

The Luxeon Wide is a 284mm magnetic LED track light fitting a white aluminium body around an integrated 7W LED module rated at 3000K. The fitting attaches magnetically to compatible Ego profile track rails, allowing it to be repositioned along the track length without tools. The adjustable head rotates and tilts to direct light onto artwork, retail displays, architectural features or work surfaces.

Designed for ceiling-mounted track systems in residential, retail and hospitality interiors, the Luxeon Wide provides accent and task lighting where fixed ceiling fittings would limit flexibility. The magnetic track system allows multiple fittings to be added, removed or repositioned as room layouts change. The 7W output suits individual product highlighting in retail, picture lighting in galleries and homes, and directional task light in kitchens and studios.

The white powder-coated aluminium body measures 284mm in length with a 22mm projection from the track rail, giving a low-profile appearance once installed. The fitting carries an IP20 rating, restricting it to dry indoor environments. The integrated LED operates on 230V mains via the track rail and is not dimmable on standard dimmers. The 3000K colour temperature produces warm white light that suits domestic and hospitality settings where cooler tones would feel clinical.

The Luxeon Wide attaches magnetically to Ideal Lux Ego profile track rails. The fitting will not fit other brands' track systems unless they explicitly state compatibility with the Ego profile magnetic standard.

Can it be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with standard phase-cut dimmers. The fitting operates at full output when the track is powered on.

How is the fitting repositioned on the track?

The magnetic attachment allows the fitting to be slid along the track rail and lifted off without tools. Power to the track should be isolated before repositioning fittings.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating restricts the Luxeon Wide to dry indoor environments outside bathroom zones. It is not rated for moisture exposure and should not be installed within 3m of a bath or shower.
