Description
The Luxeon Wide is a 284mm LED track light with an integrated 7W 3000K LED module, designed to fit onto Ego-profile track systems. The wide-beam optic spreads light across a broader area than standard track spots, making it suitable for wall-washing, display lighting and general ambient coverage where a tight beam would create hot spots. The fitting is dimmable via 1-10V control systems when paired with a compatible driver.
Designed for retail, gallery, residential and hospitality installations, the Luxeon Wide mounts onto three-circuit or single-circuit Ego track rails and can be repositioned along the track run without tools. The adjustable head rotates and tilts on a metal pivot, allowing the beam to be angled onto vertical surfaces, shelving or ceiling zones depending on the application. The 7W LED output provides approximately 600-700 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, comparable to a 50W halogen track spot but drawing one-seventh of the power.
The black aluminium body measures 284mm long by 25mm high by 22mm projection from the track rail when fitted. The compact profile keeps the fitting discreet on ceiling-mounted track runs, while the matt black finish reduces reflections and integrates cleanly with black, grey or white track rails. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments. Ideal Lux backs the integrated LED module with a 5-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
What track system does this fit?
The Luxeon Wide is designed for Ego-profile track rails. It will not fit standard three-wire or two-wire track systems unless an adapter is used. Check compatibility with your existing track before ordering.
How is it dimmed?
The fitting uses 1-10V dimming protocol, which requires a compatible 1-10V driver or controller on the track system. It is not compatible with mains-voltage trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmers used for standard household lighting circuits.
What does 'wide beam' mean?
The wide-beam optic spreads light across a broader angle than a standard track spotlight, typically 40-60 degrees rather than 20-30 degrees. This makes it better suited to wall-washing, general ambient coverage and display lighting where a tight beam would create uneven hot spots.
Can it be repositioned after installation?
Yes. The fitting clips onto the Ego track rail and can be slid along the track run without tools. The head rotates and tilts on a pivot joint to adjust the beam direction once positioned.
