Description

The Luxeon Wide is a 284mm LED linear track light designed to clip onto Ego-profile track systems. A single integrated 7W LED module behind a frosted diffuser casts 3000K warm white light in a wide flood beam, adjustable via a rotating head that pivots on a concealed joint within the white aluminium body.

Designed for accent lighting on track systems in retail, hospitality and residential interiors, the Luxeon Wide allows each fitting on the track to be independently positioned and angled to highlight wall art, architectural features, product displays or kitchen worktops. The dimmable LED works with most leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmers, enabling output to be reduced from full brightness to a low ambient glow depending on room usage and time of day.

The white powder-coated aluminium body measures 284mm long by 22mm projection from the track, giving a low-profile appearance when fitted to ceiling-mounted or suspended track. The frosted diffuser softens the LED output to reduce glare when the fitting is angled towards eye level. At 7W, each Luxeon Wide consumes approximately 85% less energy than a 50W halogen track spotlight while delivering comparable light output across the beam spread.

The IP20 rating limits use to dry interior environments only. The fitting clips directly onto Ego-profile track (sold separately) without tools, allowing track layouts to be reconfigured as room layouts change. Ideal Lux backs the Luxeon Wide with a five-year warranty covering the LED module and driver.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 7W LED module is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. The LED is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of use and is covered by Ideal Lux's five-year warranty.

What dimmer is compatible?

The Luxeon Wide works with most leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmers designed for LED loads. For best dimming performance, check that your dimmer is rated for the total wattage of all fittings on the circuit and is listed as LED-compatible.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture ingress and must only be installed in dry interior spaces away from direct contact with water or high humidity.
