Description
The Luxeon Wide is a 284mm linear track light with a dimmable 7W integrated LED delivering 4000K neutral white output, housed in a black aluminium body with an adjustable head. The fitting mounts onto Ideal Lux's Ego track system (sold separately), which allows the light to be positioned at any point along the track run and rotated or tilted to direct light where needed.
Designed for offices, retail spaces, galleries and residential task lighting where focused neutral-white light is needed, the 4000K colour temperature sits between warm and cool, reducing yellow tones while avoiding the clinical feel of 5000K+ daylight LEDs. The adjustable head rotates on the track adapter and tilts on its horizontal axis, allowing light to be aimed at desks, wall displays, kitchen worktops or product shelving. The 22mm projection from the track keeps the fitting low-profile on ceiling-mounted runs.
The aluminium housing carries a matt black powder-coated finish that absorbs ambient light rather than reflecting it, keeping the fitting visually discrete when not in use. The integrated LED is rated at 7W, providing task-level brightness equivalent to a 50-60W halogen whilst consuming a fraction of the energy. The dimmable function works with trailing-edge and some leading-edge dimmer modules (compatibility should be checked with the specific dimmer model before installation). IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry indoor environments only.

Frequently Asked
What track system does this fit?
The Luxeon Wide is designed for Ideal Lux's Ego track system. The track itself is sold separately and available in various lengths and configurations. The fitting clips onto the track and can be repositioned at any point along the run without re-wiring.
Is the LED replaceable?
The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED module is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of use (around 10 years at 8 hours per day), after which the entire fitting would need replacing.
What's the difference between 4000K and 3000K?
4000K is a neutral white with minimal yellow or blue tone, often used in offices, retail and task lighting where colour accuracy matters. 3000K is a warm white with a slight yellow tone, typically preferred in residential living spaces. This fitting is only available in 4000K.
Can it be dimmed with standard UK dimmers?
The fitting is rated as dimmable and works with most trailing-edge LED-compatible dimmers. Compatibility with leading-edge dimmers varies by model. Test with the specific dimmer before full installation, or contact us for compatibility guidance.
