Description

The Luxeon recessed L-connector joins two sections of recessed track lighting at a 90-degree horizontal angle, creating corner configurations in linear track systems. Cast from aluminium with a white powder-coated finish, the connector measures 100mm along each leg and sits flush with the ceiling line when installed into compatible recessed track channels.

Designed for retail spaces, galleries, kitchens and commercial interiors where track lighting follows room perimeters or turns corners, the L-connector maintains electrical continuity between track sections while supporting the mechanical load of spotlights mounted on either side of the join. The connector integrates with dimmable track systems, passing the dimming signal through the 90-degree turn without requiring separate wiring or control modules at the corner itself.

The white finish matches standard ceiling paint tones and pairs with the Luxeon recessed track range from Ideal Lux. The aluminium construction provides structural rigidity at the join point, preventing flex or sag where two track sections meet at right angles. Installation involves clipping the connector into the recessed channel on each side, with internal contacts making the electrical connection once the mechanical join is secured. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments only.

Frequently Asked

Is this compatible with all recessed track systems?

The Luxeon L-connector is designed for use with the Ideal Lux Luxeon recessed track range specifically. It may not fit recessed track systems from other manufacturers due to variations in channel width, contact configuration and mounting clip design.

Does the connector itself need to be wired?

No. The connector makes the electrical join internally via spring contacts that engage with the live track on each side once the mechanical clip is secured. No separate wiring or terminal connections are required at the corner.

Can this be used in bathrooms or outdoor covered areas?

No. The IP20 rating means the connector is suitable for dry indoor use only and should not be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms or any location where moisture is present.

What does dimmable compatible mean in this context?

The connector passes the dimming control signal from one track section to the next, allowing dimmable spotlights on both sides of the corner to respond to a single dimmer control without requiring separate dimming circuits.
