Description

The Luxeon recessed L-connector is a 90-degree junction piece for Ideal Lux's Luxeon recessed track lighting system, formed from aluminium with a black powder-coated finish. The connector measures 100mm along each arm and sits flush with ceiling level when fitted, allowing track runs to turn corners without surface-mounted hardware or visible gaps at the join.

Designed for residential and commercial installations where track lighting needs to follow room perimeters, architectural features or L-shaped kitchen islands, the connector maintains electrical continuity across the 90-degree turn for spotlights fitted anywhere along the track run. The dimmable rating means it supports dimmer-compatible LED track spotlights on the same circuit, allowing brightness control across the entire installation. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments only.

The aluminium body provides structural rigidity at the joint between two track sections, preventing sag or misalignment over time. Installation requires a recessed channel cut into the ceiling plasterboard, typically 100mm deep, with the connector slotting into position between two straight track sections and locked via the system's clip mechanism. The black finish matches the rest of the Luxeon recessed track range and conceals the join against dark ceilings or becomes a subtle accent line on lighter surfaces.

The connector carries Ideal Lux's 5-year warranty and is part of a modular system that includes straight tracks, I-connectors, T-connectors and end caps, all available separately. Power feed can be introduced at any point in the track run via a dedicated feed connector (sold separately), giving flexibility in circuit planning.
