Description

The Luxeon is a 9W LED track spotlight that mounts magnetically to a compatible track rail, allowing the fitting to be repositioned along the length of the track without tools. The spotlight head houses an integrated 3000K LED producing warm white light through a circular diffuser, set within a black extruded aluminium housing that measures 96mm in height with a 46mm projection from the track.

Designed for retail display lighting, gallery walls, kitchens and living rooms where accent or task lighting is needed, the magnetic mounting system means the spotlight can be slid along the track and angled to direct light onto specific areas. The track itself is sold separately and carries mains power, with the spotlight drawing 9W per fitting. Multiple Luxeon spotlights can be run from a single track circuit, with spacing and positioning adjusted as room layout or display needs change.

The extruded aluminium construction dissipates LED heat effectively without needing external cooling fins, keeping the outer housing temperature safe to touch during operation. The black finish is applied as a powder coat over the aluminium, giving a matt surface that minimises reflections in retail and residential environments. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty covering the integrated LED and driver.

What track system does this work with?

The Luxeon uses Ideal Lux's proprietary magnetic track system. The track rail is sold separately and carries mains power, allowing spotlights to be positioned anywhere along the length of the rail. This is not compatible with standard 3-circuit or single-circuit track lighting systems.

Can the spotlight be angled?

Yes. The spotlight head tilts and rotates on the magnetic base, allowing light to be directed onto walls, artwork, worktops or display areas. The magnetic connection holds the fitting securely at the chosen angle.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. If dimmable track lighting is required, check whether Ideal Lux offers a dimmable variant in the Luxeon range.

Can it be used in bathrooms or outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating means the spotlight is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, kitchens directly above sinks, or any outdoor or damp environment.
