The Luxeon is a 12W LED magnetic track spotlight with a cylindrical brushed brass head mounted on a matt black magnetic track adapter. The integrated LED delivers 3000K warm white light through a 40° beam angle, designed for directional accent lighting rather than general illumination. The extruded aluminium body gives the 190mm-long cylinder a substantial presence without excessive weight.

Designed for magnetic track lighting systems where individual spotlights clip onto an electrified track rail without tools or wiring, the Luxeon suits retail displays, gallery walls, kitchen islands and living room feature walls where lighting positions need to change frequently. The magnetic adapter holds the spotlight securely in position while allowing it to be slid along the track, rotated 360° and tilted through approximately 90° to redirect the beam as display layouts or furniture arrangements change.

The brushed brass finish on the aluminium cylinder contrasts with the matt black track adapter, creating a two-tone aesthetic that pairs well with both warm-toned and industrial interiors. The 105mm projection from the track rail positions the light source forward of the mounting surface, reducing glare when the spotlight is angled downward. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments only.

Ideal Lux manufactures the Luxeon in Italy using extruded aluminium profiles rather than stamped or cast housings, which allows the cylindrical form to maintain consistent wall thickness and thermal dissipation along its length. The 12W LED runs at a fixed 3000K colour temperature and is not dimmable on standard phase-control dimmers.

What track system does this fit?

The Luxeon uses a magnetic track system where the spotlight clips onto an electrified magnetic rail without tools or wiring. It requires the corresponding Ideal Lux magnetic track rail (sold separately). It will not fit standard three-circuit track systems or other manufacturers' magnetic tracks without compatibility confirmation.

Can the spotlight be repositioned after installation?

Yes. The magnetic adapter allows the spotlight to be slid along the track rail, rotated 360° and tilted through approximately 90° without disconnecting power. This makes repositioning instant as room layouts or display arrangements change.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 12W LED is integrated into the spotlight and not user-replaceable. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty covering LED failure, which typically exceeds 30,000 hours of operation at 3000K.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the Luxeon to dry indoor environments only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor use.
