The Luxeon is a 7W LED magnetic track light module in a black extruded aluminium housing, designed to slot into Ideal Lux magnetic track systems. The integrated LED delivers 4000K neutral white light through a linear lens 192mm long and 22mm wide, producing even illumination along the module's length. The magnetic fixing allows the module to be positioned anywhere along a compatible track and moved without tools or re-wiring.

Designed for offices, retail displays, kitchens and gallery installations where directed task or accent lighting is needed, the Luxeon pairs with other magnetic modules on the same track to build custom lighting layouts. The 4000K colour temperature provides neutral white light that renders colours accurately without the warmth of residential lighting or the clinical coldness of 6000K commercial fittings. The dimmable LED adjusts from full output down to a low glow, controlled via a compatible dimmer on the track's circuit.

The black aluminium housing measures 192mm end-to-end with a 22mm projection from the track surface, keeping the module compact enough for low-ceiling installations while maintaining thermal efficiency to protect the LED driver. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments. The module connects to the track via magnetic contact points that carry both power and data for dimming, eliminating the need for separate control wiring.

What track system does this fit?

The Luxeon is designed for Ideal Lux magnetic track systems. It will not fit standard three-circuit track or other manufacturers' magnetic tracks without verifying compatibility. Contact us if you're unsure whether your existing track system is compatible.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the module and is not user-replaceable. The LED carries a 5-year warranty and is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of operation, which translates to around 10 years at 8 hours per day.

Can the modules be repositioned after installation?

Yes. The magnetic fixing allows each module to be moved along the track without tools. Switch off the track circuit, slide the module to the new position, and switch back on. This makes it easy to adjust lighting layouts as room use changes.

What's the difference between 4000K and 3000K?

4000K is neutral white, closer to natural daylight, and is commonly used in offices, kitchens and retail where accurate colour rendering matters. 3000K is warm white with a slight yellow tone, more common in residential living spaces. The Luxeon is available in both colour temperatures depending on the variant chosen.
