Description

The Lustrous is a 900mm flush-mount chandelier with a rectangular white fabric shade set inside a chrome frame, surrounded by cascading chains of octagonal cut crystals. Five E27 bulb fittings inside the fabric shade provide the primary light source, which diffuses through the white fabric before refracting through the surrounding crystal chains. The steel suspension cables allow height adjustment on installation.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards, the Lustrous provides both ambient and decorative light. The 900mm length suits dining tables seating six to eight people, or central positions in 4-5m living rooms. The crystals catch daylight during the day and add sparkle when lit in the evening, while the white fabric prevents glare from the bulbs themselves. The fixture projects 300mm from the ceiling once suspended.

The chromed metal frame provides structural support for the crystal chains and gives a clean metallic accent against the white shade. Each crystal chain hangs below the shade, creating a curtain effect around the perimeter. The octagonal cut on each crystal produces multiple facets that refract light at different angles. The E27 fittings accept standard bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately), or LED equivalents for lower running cost. The IP20 rating makes this suitable for dry indoor locations only.

Is the Lustrous dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E27 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The fixture itself supports dimming, but the bulbs you choose must also be rated as dimmable for the system to function correctly.

What bulbs does it take?

The chandelier takes five E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, each up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining or living room light.

Can the height be adjusted?

Yes. The steel suspension cables are adjustable on installation, allowing the chandelier to be set at different heights to suit your ceiling height and the room's proportions.

How are the crystals cleaned?

Wipe each crystal gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For more thorough cleaning, individual crystals can be detached from their chains, wiped with a barely-damp cloth, dried thoroughly and re-attached. Avoid spraying water or cleaning fluid directly onto the chandelier while suspended.
